AHEAD APPOINTS VINCE COLLADO AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Joining AHEAD through the CDI acquisition, Collado enhances the executive leadership team with robust operational expertise, underscoring the company’s growth plans.
CHICAGO – February 14, 2024 — AHEAD, a leading authority in data, developer, and infrastructure platforms, today announced the appointment of Vince Collado as Chief Operating Officer. Collado joins the company through AHEAD’s acquisition of CDI in February 2024.
Based in New York, Collado will be responsible for global client and service operations, information technology and business applications. His proven track record in driving transformational change and leveraging technology for business excellence positions AHEAD at the forefront of the industry’s evolution. Collado’s diverse background, spanning engineering, sales, finance and operations, brings a unique and holistic perspective to AHEAD.
Collado’s addition to AHEAD’s executive leadership team comes as former Chief Operations Officer Tony Coffey begins a planned exit. Coffey joined AHEAD in March 2021 and throughout his tenure established an integration management office, corporate development function, and matured AHEAD’s operations platforms. Coffey will remain on staff until April 2024.
In his previous role as COO of CDI, Collado was instrumental in digitizing business operations, setting a benchmark for operational efficiency at scale. He was responsible for the company’s services P&L, as well as launching CDI’s digital transformation business. His strategic approach resulted in significant margin expansion and positioned the organization for sustainable growth.

Before CDI, Collado had a successful five-year stint with storage technology market leader EMC Corporation (now Dell Technologies) and prior to that held engineering and sales roles at PARIS Technologies and Syncsort. Collado is a graduate of Boston University with a degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
