AHEAD MOVES UP LIST OF CHICAGO’S TOP PRIVATELY HELD COMPANIES

AHEAD ranks #58 among Chicago’s Largest Privately Held Companies according to Crain’s Chicago’s 2022 Report. This marks a two-spot climb from 2021’s list and a 20-spot climb from 2020.

The companies on the 2022 list are ranked based on 2021 GAAP revenue. According to Crain’s, combined revenue for the 375 listed companies grew 13.46% in 2021, and local employment grew by 4.14%. AHEAD revenue grew by 35% and Chicago-area employment grew by 24%.

It is important to note that Crain’s cites GAAP numbers which for AHEAD, does not include certain categories of revenue such as maintenance and finder’s fees. GAAP revenue also does not include pro forma revenues for companies acquired for time periods before their acquisition. Including these categories, AHEAD’s 2021 revenue was $2.2B
